IMS was established in 2002 to prepare a new generation of prospective managers who could skillfully accomplish the needs and requirements of modern-day business organizations. Within a short span of time, the Institute has set a milestone in the field of management education. The Institute has competent faculty members and a strong resource base to impart quality management education in four major disciplines, viz., Marketing, Finance, HR and IT.
The Institute has a well-equipped computer laboratory with Internet & Wi-Fi facility. The Library too has been upgraded and refurbished, with a sufficient number of reference books, magazines, and journals. The Institute has been continuously striving to upgrade its academic standards with periodic improvements in pedagogy and teaching methodologies. The MBA programme offered at our Institute has been well-designed to groom and motivate the young students for better career opportunities. Ranchi University was established in 1960. It is headquartered in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand. The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). There are a total of 14 constituent colleges and 61 affiliated colleges under Ranchi University. The colleges offer courses in Medical, Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Nursing, Education, and Law streams.
The University has a total intake of around 1,50,000 students from its constituent and affiliated colleges. India Today (May 28, 2012) ranked Ranchi University 36th among the top 50 Universities in India and 2nd among the five fast-growing Universities in India. The University was further adjudged as the Best Regional University in the Oxford Summit of Leaders organized by Europe Business Assembly, Oxford, London, UK in December 2013. Careers 360 gave Ranchi University an AA+ rating in its latest 2014 survey of Top Public Multi-disciplinary Universities of India. Ranchi University, Ranchi, has recently been accorded a B++ grade by NAAC, UGC in its assessment conducted in 2017.
